2015-2016 Welcome Letter from Scoutmaster Atlas

Posted on Aug 26 2015 - 7:04pm

Our 57th year of providing the Scouting program to the boys of North Worcester has begun. The month of September will be a busy one for us, with many Boards of Review to conduct at the meetings and a very exciting trip ahead for the weekend of September 19th – 20th for a Deep Sea Fishing and Camping experience! The month will conclude with our semi-annual Parent’s Night and Scout Recognition Ceremony on Thursday, September 24th. We ask that all parents contribute to our dessert table with a home-baked of some type. Our evening will begin at 6:30 PM.

EcoTarium Overnighter Coming Soon!

Posted on Jan 13 2015 - 9:24am

Our Scouts have asked to go to the EcoTarium for an indoor overnighter and to participate in a special program entitled ‘Under the Sea’. We have arranged for that opportunity beginning on Friday evening at 6:00 PM, which we’ll begin there with a pizza dinner followed by the program. Scouts will stay overnight in the EcoTarium, and on Saturday morning wake up to a light breakfast before heading outside to check out the furry and winged residents there.

Every three years, Troop 9 ventures out beyond our New England region to a ‘far-away land’, pretty much where our Scouts vote to go. This time around, we’re heading to Washington (the Capitol, not the President).
